Yes, a bulge is allowed. The nipples are also allowed, though not required.
The colours don't need to be exact, but the palette is there if you need it.
I'd prefer a nose that looks snep-like, like in the 1st example.
I tend to prefer rounder ears, like in the 3rd example.
The hands should have claws and paw pads, if possible.
Make sure you give him a BIG TAIL, like in the 5th example. I know how it looks in some of the examples, but there's a reason why it's thicker in the actual reference sheet. This is my one requirement, so don't forget.
Avoid making the spots messy and ugly looking.
