A thing I’ve been seeing on social media here and there is people acting like Blogging is the most difficult thing in the whole entire universe, so it’s like, okay, so they're not wrong, but I dunno, here’s what works for me.

Now, what I personally settled on was to just get a Neocities account and let Zonelets do the work for me. I’ve seen people complain about Zonelets ether because they find it too old fashioned or lacking in features, but I don’t give a fuck, it’s good enough for now, and it’s useful if you’re a beginner.

Step 1: Find a Word Document

The first thing I do is type a bunch of paragraphs into a word document. I personally use LibreOffice because it’s free, but you can also use notes.io or anything with a spellcheck. Spellcheck is the main reason I’m doing it this way.

Step 2: Copy and Paste

After that, just create a new html file in your Neocites dashboard and copy + paste from the post template that comes with Zonelets. After that, it’s just copying and pasting your paragraphs into <p> tags.

Step 3: Add more tags!

Okay, so, I don't want to hear about how you have to type in everything yourself because there's only a couple of tags you'll be using most of the time.

Step 4: Javascript

Okay, so, here’s the scary part. Now you have to open the script file Zonelets comes with in order for your post to show up. However, it’s really not that difficult, just make sure the new one is at the top.

Step 5: Do whatever

After that, please look at the video tutorials posted on the Zonelets site. It’s there where I learned how to add comments, as well as change the theme. That’s literally it, it’s not that hard, and it’s a lot of fun doing it this way.
