Pilz-e the Squirrel from the illwillpress flash animated series, holding a medicine container. There's babies behind him.

A thing that tends to get on my nerves is whenever someone takes their personal grievances and invents a fictitious boogeyman out of it, often turning that into a culture that's ruining society.

A common example that I grew up with is "the over medication of society". Now, what was happening was just the ability to identify and treat ADHD, etc. And this meant more people were getting diagnosed. That's it.

But as a result, like always, this meant that folks got cranky because the world was changing. And with our increased understanding of such things, it also meant that certain people weren't acceptable to make fun of anymore.

Personal grievance? Not allowed to say the R word anymore.

Boogeyman? The over medication of society.

Another example is the "petite bourgeois", which is essentially just getting annoyed at Ned Flanders but in real life.

Another example is "media literacy is dead", which is just a smart sounding way to claim you need a high IQ to understand Rick and Morty, if someone doesn't like Rick and Morty.

Another example, albeit less smart sounding, is the "art/gym/computer/movie bro", because literally everything is difficult to do to an extent, so now they need to imagine an alleged gatekeeper to get annoyed at in order to feel less insecure about themselves.

Another less smart sounding example, is the SJW/Tumblrina/Wokescold/Tenderqueer/HOA Tyrant, which is just a way to snarl at any gay, trans, disabled, or black person who *gasp* annoys you.
