Furry Fandom

Cooner! - Please also check out their webcomic, My Bigger Boyfriend.

TY-PESH - Including their food review show, Hungry like the Wolves.

A Fox in Space - The making of a StarFox fan-animated series.

The Smoke Room - An adult visual novel set in 1915 that I've been enjoying.

Sweet Leaves - A visual novel based on a webcomic featuring two gay fathers.

Web Development

Webhosting / Platforms

Neocities - My site is hosted there! I've also heard good things about Nekoweb, which is a popular alternative.

Porkbun - This is where you can buy/manage domain names! I heard they're very reliable. Make sure you buy one that renews for cheap, fair warning.

carrd - A site builder that's very user-friendly and easy to understand. It was a good starting place for me, before I had the courage to make my own web page.

Pika - A neat, minimalist looking blogging site. You can also use it as a personal site by making extra pages, and there's even a guestbook you can opt into that lets people send you drawings!

Tools

Phoenix Code - A pretty good text editor for web stuff, and it has live preview!

optiPNG - You can run images through this optimizer, shrinking the file size without losing quality. Helpful for people with slow connections!

Coolors - An unnecessarily bloated colour palette generator.

CSS Stripes Generator - Make some cute stripes!

cOOl & EMO tEXt cOnVERTer xXX - Just like the good old days.

google webfonts helper - A convenient way to optimize fonts on your site... maybe? I'm not sure, but maybe you'll start using this?

Add-ons / Widgets

status.cafe - This is if you're looking for an easy way to embed status updates to your homepage. Keep in mind that it might take a couple of days to get your activation link, so be patient.

Ayano's Guestbook Widget - This is what tons of people use for comments. It's all done through google sheets, so it's a bit of a hurdle to get it set up, but the instructions are easy to follow.

komments - An alternative comments widget. You can embed this onto your site through an iframe, or just have it as a separate page. It's easier to get it set up, but you can't customize it as much.

Drawbox - This is what I use that lets people post their doodles! It's another one that's done through google sheets, but just do it already, stop complaining.

Zonelets - I'm the one nutcase who actually uses this thing. It's been a good starting place for me, especially as someone who didn't know what they were doing. You can use Zonelots if you prefer, which is an expansion with an added tagging feature.

frog tab - This was intended as a private to-do list and task reminder, but you also can turn it into an askbox by following this tutorial.

Resources

Mozilla web resources - This links to their CSS guide, but they have an HTML guide as well!

sadgirl.online - Sadness' large collection of links to aid in making sites.

Filtering items with just CSS and HTML - A great tutorial that lets you filter content without javascript.

SVGrepo.com - A bunch of icons!

Dark mode JS toggle - it remembers user preferences too!

Drawing

Software

Clip Studio Paint - The perfect middle ground between Photoshop (bad) and Paint Tool SAI (limited).

Aseprite - Pixel Art!

Blender - This is what everyone has been using to create 3D models.

TEGAKI draw and tweet - a Japanese doodle app made for easily posting drawings to social media.

Wiggly Paint - Another fun doodle site that turns your drawings into wiggly, dancing animations.

Hardware

Xencelabs Tablet - I don't know much about tablets, but this is the one that I keep seeing floating around. It's small, so it should also be good for osu!, or if you simply just want to use it as a mouse for some reason.

Community (18+)

FurAffinity - The big dog. It's based on the old Deviantart and we like it that way. One of the great benefits is that you can browse through specific fetishes.

SoFurry - Another one of the old dogs, with a reputation for fostering the writing community in particular.

ComicFury - It's a webcomic host that cares! It's an indie site that doesn't shove ads and monetization down your throat.

itch.io - Known mostly for their games and visual novels, but I believe you can also sell your comics there too.

Bluesky - The current hellsite. This is where you'll probably find the most furry porn. Just remember to label your content as Suggestive or NSFW and you'll be fine. The #Art and #Furry hashtags are also of a big help.

Mastodon/Fediverse - This is where most of my friends come from. It's not too important which server you join, so long as you remember to use the #FurryArt and #MastoArt hashtags, like always, and use content labels for posting Suggestive and NSFW. You can follow misskey accounts from there as well.

Pillowfort - An alternative to Tumblr that I like to lurk on from time to time.

Self Improvement

Animation for Anyone - A youtube channel that teaches animation principles in a really simple and approachable way.

Miscellaneous

Tools

LibreOffice - Microsoft Office, but it's free. This is what I use to write scripts and blog posts.

OnlyOffice Desktop Editor - Another alternative to Microsoft Office. This is for those who would like documents, excel sheets, and presentations to all be loaded within separate tabs of one window.

notes.io - Old reliable. This is good if you just need something quick, easy, and that has spellcheck. In fact, I'm currently using it right now!

cobalt - This is for downloading video/audio/pics!

ScreenToGif - A screen capture program to easily record gifs.

The Dark Web

GifCities - Old, archived gifs from Geocities.

Rainwave - A videogame radio station where you can vote on tracks.

Petit Tube - This shows random YouTube videos with very low view counts.
